Meet Liz
I realized I wanted to make a bigger difference for our state 29 years ago. My son was diagnosed with autism, and the services he required were not available in Albuquerque. I knew the only way to make change was to be the change I wanted to see. I made a promise to myself, “I’m going to be the voice for people who feel like they don’t have a voice in our Capitol.” Since then I've dedicated myself to creating more educational opportunities for our children—especially those with disabilities.
As I continue to speak with members of the community, I see more and more that we all share a desire for a safer, more prosperous New Mexico. Property crime and vehicle theft are on the rise, and I will always support legislation that seeks to reverse that trend. As your State Representative, I’m working closely with local law enforcement to empower our officers and encourage community policing.
I am honored to serve you in Santa Fe on both the House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee as the Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee.
I hope that you will stay in touch. I am dedicated to being your voice in the New Mexico state legislature.
